Abstract

Abstrak: Kecemasan Kesehatan adalah salah satu masalah psikososial yang dialami penyakit kronis. Pada hasil penelitian kami, dari rentang usia lanjut usia dan dewasa menunjukkan bahwa dari 100 responden terdapat 50 persen yang mengalami kecemasan kesehatan. Kecemasan Kesehatan merupakan kekhawatiran yang muncul karena penyakit yang diderita, kekhawatiran ini menyebabkan penderita penyakit kronis menjadi takut untuk berobat dan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan di Puskesmas dan Rumah Sakit. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah berupa kegiatan deteksi kecemasan dengan kuisioner Health Anxiety Inventory dan penyuluhan terapi menulis pada penderita lanjut usia dan dewasa dengan penyakit kronik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan dilakukan penyuluhan penanganan untuk mengurangi kecemasan Kesehatan di Kelurahan Plombokan. Penanganan yang diajarkan adalah terapi menulis. Melalui penyuluhan yang dihadiri 47 orang. diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman para audience mengenai  kecemasan kesehatan serta dapat mempraktikan terapi tersebut ketika mengalami kecemasan Kesehatan. Hal ini dapat menjadi tindakan preventif dalam mencegah berkembangnya masalah psikososial di masyrakat.

 

Abstract: Health anxiety is one of the psychosocial issues experienced by those with chronic illnesses. In our research findings, across the age range of elderly and adults, it was shown that out of 100 respondents, 50 percent experienced health anxiety. Health anxiety is a concern that arises from an illness, causing chronic disease sufferers to be afraid to seek treatment and undergo health examinations at community health centers and hospitals. The methods used in this service activity are anxiety screening using the Health Anxiety Inventory questionnaire and writing therapy education for elderly and adult with chronic disease patients. Community service activities were carried out by providing counselling on handling to reduce health anxiety in Plombokan Village. The treatment taught is writing therapy. Thru the outreach program attended by 47 people, it is hoped that the audience's understanding of health anxiety will increase and that they will be able to practice the therapy when experiencing health anxiety. This can be a preventive measure in preventing the development of psychosocial problems in society.
